We Need YOU!

The Lord has commanded us to "Love one another as I have loved you" and there are many opportunities for you to participate at St. Mary's

Worship

Acolytes
Youth and adults are needed to serve at the altar each Sunday

Ushers
Men and Women who greet the congregation and welcome newcomers each Sunday morning. They receive the offering and guide the congregation to the altar

Lay Readers
A diverse group made up of Chalice bearers, Lectors and LEMs. Chalice bearers help the priest serve communion at the altar rail. Lectors read the lessons from the Old or New Testament. LEMs take communion to those who cannot attend church. We meet 4 times a year, before the major seasons in the church year.

Altar Guild
Prepares the altar for all worship services during the church year, as well as caring for all the vestments, linen and vessels.

Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir is a group that uses their voices to praise God and enhance the worship experience at 10.30am every Sunday. Membership is open to anyone from High School on up. Rehearsals are in the choir loft on Thursday from 7.30 to 9.00pm and Sunday morning from 9.00 to 9.20am

Bell Choir
The Bell Choir is a small group that uses their hands and handbells to praise God and enhance selected worship services throughout the church year. This group is open to anyone from High School on up. Rehearsals are Wednesday evening from 6.30 to 7.15pm. Rehearsals are held behind the altar at the Bell Tables.
