On Sunday, February 11th at 9:15 am in Shaffer Hall, a representative from the Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault Intervention Services (DASI) will present a program about their organization and how we can help support the survivors of such violence. DASI is one of the organizations supported by our Outreach Committee, so please come out to learn more.
IOn Monday, October 23rd, LifeLine Screening will be conducting health screenings at St. Mary’s. October is Bone & Joint Awareness month, and an osteoporosis screening is one of the tests offered. For more information, please pick up a pink flyer from the Outreach table in the narthex; you must call LifeLine directly to make an appointment at 1-888-653-6450.
On Thursday, July 6th at 6:30 pm, Bishop Beckwith will make an informal but structured visit to St. Mary’s. We’ll do a Dwelling in the Word exercise together, then take a walk through the neighborhood. We’ll end with dessert and a discussion of what we noticed. If you would like to participate, please let Mother Debbie know by June 30th.
Watch Bishop Beckwith talk about dwelling the word.
We’ll have a Blessing of the Backpacks on Sunday, September 3rd during the service—that will be our last day of holding one service at 9 am during the summer.
Also beginning September 24th, the 10:30 am service on the last Sunday of every month will be a Children’s Service: our youth and children will read the lessons, the Children’s Choir will sing, younger members will usher, and younger acolytes will partner with more experienced acolytes.
