This will be a joint service with our friends from Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, held at St. Mary’s. As has been done since antiquity, this service begins outside with the kindling of a new fire, the lighting of candles, a procession into the Church, and hearing readings that tell us of God’s relationship with us from the very beginning of time. With news of the Resurrection, lights come up, the “A” word returns, and we ring bells every time we hear “Alleluia!” in the service from that point on. (So bring some kind of bell with you to the service!) We’ll have a light reception afterward, so please plan to bring some food to share if you attend this service.
